SCHMOOZING WITH THE EYES

I live for keeping the eye contact cos when I did that
I opened room for conversation…
Her dilated pupils concealed in glossy tear made it special
Exceptional things about her came alive
Things she was thinking that she won’t say aloud
I breathed in and exhaled an intent “Hi”
She gave a smile and rolled her corpulent eyes
This blaze of vivacious kept me absorbed in her
For a moment I was lost in the opened window
A window that led to her soul and her thoughts
One that bared a beauty furtively bestowed
inside heavy-lidded eyes
Her iris were black resembling a drop of molten mortar
And that oomph that came with it…
Embodying her dashing mascara to a blitzkrieg
Artistic eye pencil and an exotic shade of eye shadow
accentuated her glinting eyes already squeezing my complement
She narrowed her eyelids making her lips constrict
as if posturing for a peck
Her left hand made a slow swank on her dark curls
pulling them behind her ear as if she hadn’t heard what I’d said
I was nowhere to be found in her stare
I had looked at women, many, and none had this kind of gaze
A gaze she had managed to sustain since our eyes met
Our eyes met…
We were standing at the counter all this while
She had winked, I winked back
I did that because she had cut through my part
Sabered deep to my curiosity through my lit eyes
Her lovely doe-eyes sparkled like broken glass under the sun
They made her audacious
Through her eyes I knew she was a go-getter
She controlled attention with her appealing stern
Then she swallowed her guzzle of wine
Still looking at me as if it hinged on it
Then came the beam, a smirk
charmingly warping her luscious lips into a welcoming arc
accompanied with the dazzle in her eyes
indolently giving me the once-over from the bottom-up
And to all appearances contented with my being there
a racy “Hi” emanated from her mouths
The conversation began
As well as up to now
we still discourse looking into each other’s eyes.
